Privacy Policy

escolhe.la is a web application that helps groups decide where to eat. We have no user accounts and collect no names or email addresses.

• Participant identifier — a UUID generated by your browser and stored in localStorage. Never linked to a real person.
• Votes (yes/no per restaurant, per room, per participant ID).
• Rooms and candidates: search query, restaurant names, addresses, ratings, and photo references from the Google Places API.
• Booking intent clicks (anonymous count per candidate/room, no participant ID stored).

We use no cookies. We use no third-party analytics scripts.

• Google Places API — used to search for restaurants. Google's terms of service apply to submitted queries.
• OpenStreetMap — map tiles loaded directly from openstreetmap.org.
• unpkg.com — serves JavaScript libraries (HTMX, Leaflet) via CDN.

Rooms and votes are stored indefinitely in the database (no automatic TTL in the current version). We do not share data with third parties for commercial purposes.

As we collect no identifiable personal data, most GDPR rights do not apply in practice.
